A District-Wide Investment

In 2019, Waverly Community Schools secured a $125 million bond to modernize several district facilities, with the high school auditorium identified as a key priority. HAV.Design partnered with TowerPinkster to lead a full upgrade of the space’s audio, video, and theatrical lighting systems.

The Tech

Completed in 2025, the renovated auditorium now features a 12,000-lumen Panasonic laser projector paired with a 146” x 260” motorized Da-Lite screen, delivering sharp, large-scale visuals for performances, assemblies, and events. A new Fulcrum speaker and subwoofer system drives the audio, all managed through a 36-fader Allen & Heath digital mixing console that offers flexibility and control.

Full Control

The lighting system was fully replaced with 75 LED color-mixing fixtures, giving staff a wide range of programmable options for stage productions. Touchpanel controls were installed at key points throughout the space, simplifying day-to-day operation, while a wireless intercom system streamlines backstage communication.

Seamless Communication

Panasonic displays were also added—65” in the lobby and 43” backstage—providing timely cues and information to both audiences and crew for seamless connectivity and communication.

Future Proof

Located in Lansing, Michigan, the updated auditorium reflects the district’s investment in functional, modern learning and performance spaces. With a sound system budget of $465,000, HAV.Design delivered a reliable solution that will hold up and perform for years.

HAV.Design was fortunate to work alongside Ed Talaga and the whole design team from TowerPinkster to complete this comprehensive overhaul at Waverly High School.
